Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland were left without power on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the state, bringing wind gusts topping 109km/h.
Large Ice Stones and Extensive Impact
Homeowners reported giant hailstones as large as 7 centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Southern State's Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, approximately 1,000 households in the southern state also faced power outages after the metropolitan area experienced its heaviest rainfall in over 500 days.
Rescue organizations received 598 requests for assistance across the area, mainly for property damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.
Tuesday was forecast to be the wettest day, with ongoing storm activity expected across various areas of both areas.
Health Warning
Medical authorities warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
